2. Data collection on our website

Data protection is important to us! The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

If you use this website, various pieces of personal data will be collected. Personal information is any data with which you could be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what information we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.

We in no way save or gather additional personal data through this website (such as names, addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses) unless you provide us with such information (for example, if you get in contact with us, utilize registration forms for events and workshops or fill in online applications) as well as in the context outlined as follows. Personal data you willingly provide (also in regard to required fields as part of your request) is treated confidentially, serving only to process your request and will not be passed on to third parties without your consent and/or your being informed in regard to that particular form.

Please note that data transmitted via the internet (e.g. via email communication) may be subject to security breaches. Complete protection of your data from third-party access is not possible.

Server Log Files: When users access our website, data such as the computer’s IP address, type of internet browser used, date of the page visit and name of the visited page is logged for a period of 14 days. In principal, this data is only analyzed when technical problems or attacks on our webserver arise. These data will not be passed on to third parties. The basis for data processing is for the purposes of legitimate interests to ensure IT security (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

Contact form/registration form for events and workshops: By filling in a contact form or registration form for events and workshops, personal date will be stored. The information in the mandatory fields is obligatory to process your request properly. All additional fields are optional. According to the guidelines of the GDPR, we use your data only for the stated purpose and we do not pass them on to third parties, unless it is mentioned explicit!

The basis for data processing is for the purposes of legitimate interests (Art 6.1f) or for the performance of a contract (Art 6.1.b).

SSL-Encryption: When gerri-germany.org is visited via https, all communication is encrypted. This also applies to the contact form.

3. Using the GERRI-Sharepoint Inforportal

By filling in a registration form to access the GERRI Sharepoint a pre-registration at HZDR is obligatory.

Registration data for GERRI-Sharepoint: Please note that you have to provide the following personal data in order to get access to       the GERRI SharePoint (GERRI Intranet):

Name, e-mail address, institution of work

The information you provide is required to create a profile for the use of the GERRI intranet. According to the guidelines of the GDPR we use this information only for the stated purpose. Your data is only visible to internal GERRI members and will not be passed on to third parties. By activating your profile you gain access to the GERRI SharePoint, which provides a platform for the mutual exchange of relevant information on raw materials. You will also have access to our competence database.

Entry in the GERRI competence database: Please note that when new competence data sheets are created, the following personal data is requested using an input form:

Name, contact data (e-mail), institution of the work, place of work, description of expertise in a field.

With your entry, you provide GERRI with information that serves the non-profit purpose of coordinating and bundling competencies in the field of raw materials with the aim of promoting the development of technologies for the implementation of a circular economy. The data collected will only be made available to internal GERRI members. External visitors to our website www.gerri-germany.org will only seen technologies/competencies in anonymous form and will not publish the information on the data sheet describing the expertise. However, a search function enables external users to determine which elements or material flows your technology/expertise is suitable for based on the data you have entered. GERRI will only forward any enquiries about your technology/competence to the contact person listed in the competence data sheet with your permission.

Registration data for GERRI Projects-share: Please note that you have to provide the following personal data in order to get access to the GERRI Projects SharePoint (GERRI Intranet):

Name, e-mail address, institution of work

The information you provide is required to create a profile for the use of the GERRI intranet. According to the guidelines of the GDPR we use this information only for the stated purpose. Your data is only visible to your project partners and will not be passed on to third parties. By activating your profile you gain access to the GERRI Projects SharePoint, which provides a platform for the mutual exchange of relevant data on your project.

4. Information, blocking, deletion

As permitted by law (rights of the data subject Art. 15-21), you have the right to be provided at any time with information free of charge about any of your personal data that is stored as well as its origin, the recipient and the purpose for which it has been processed. This information will be given at the latest 1 month after the request. You also have the right to have this data corrected, blocked or deleted. You can contact us at any time using the address given here if you have further questions on the topic of personal data.

5. Cookies

Our Internet site does not use cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your hard drive. The next time you visit the homepage, this can immediately be displayed, which will remain in effect for approximately five years. Depending on your browser settings, the cookie can be deleted when you close your browser.

These cookies do not retrieve stored data on your hard drive and do not affect your PC or your data. Cookies do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malicious applications.

7. Webhost

Our website is hosted by an external service provider (HZDR), with whom a contract is concluded according to Art 28 GDPR processor.
