Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm
With 13,000 students the research-active university of applied science is an important economic factor for the Nuremberg metropolitan region. Research activities at the Nuremberg Institute of Technology are application-focused and interdisciplinary. Accordingly, eight research institutes, three affiliated research institutes, seven competence centers, three research associations and two Fraunhofer research groups have been established. The institutes conduct research in specific fields, while the seven interdisciplinary competence centers provide the structures needed to address research topics and questions that span multiple disciplines. This paves the way for the development of integrated solutions for industry partners and generates added stimuli for related academic or sci-entific fields.
Nuremberg Institute of Technology creates knowledge and technology transfer through many national and international cooperation projects. An important philosophy that unites us in the GERRI research Network.
